History
Founded in 1999, Facilities Resource Group was born from the collaborative ideas and shared values of
James Faber and John Weeber. Jim and John left their positions with a Fortune 500® facilities supply
distribution company to begin a comprehensive facilities services company. They set out to establish an
organization that would allow their clients to consolidate skilled services and partner with experts that
could provide total building solutions with single-point responsibility.
While initially offering electrical and general trades services, mechanical trades were soon added to complement the wide range of skilled tradesman on staff. Holding contracting licenses in all skilled trades disciplines, FRG next implemented multi-trade project management and construction services. Based in suburban Grand Rapids, a satellite office and warehouse were established in the Detroit area in 2004. The growth of services offered led to a network of technicians and skilled tradesman working throughout the United States and Canada, managed by a web-based dispatch and work order management system that captures asset and service histories for several multi-site national companies. FRG will continue adding value to our client partnerships by strengthening our expertise and expanding our capabilities.
