Benjamin C. Wirick - Director of Engineering

Ben Wirick is responsible for sales, design and project management activities for various projects at FRG. Ben manages or executes all phases of design-build projects as required to provide a complete and functioning product for the client. This includes diagnostic services, concept design, project management and commissioning.

For more than 20 years, Ben has been extensively involved in the design and installation of mechanical and process systems serving restaurant, commercial, institutional and manufacturing clients. He has designed many innovative mechanical systems and design solutions for HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, energy management and building systems applications. Certified in the Honeywell, Novar, Emerson CPC, and Trane product lines, Ben is also an expert in direct digital control (DDC) system applications. Prior to joining FRG in 2001, Ben owned and operated his own mechanical contracting business and held management positions with commercial mechanical contractors. Ben’s entire career has been in the mechanical design and construction fields.

Ben received a degree in mechanical engineering from ITT Technical Institute. He has successfully passed the mechanical Master’s and Mechanical Contractor’s Exams and is licensed to practice in the state of Michigan.
